Job description
Overall Objective:
• To create & build a leading Insurance practice to the client to transform and succeed, achieving sales & profit growth in insurance business within FSS sector.
Measures of success and targets:
• To be recognized by client as a leading (and eventually the leading) transformation partner, with target achieved in terms of sales, revenue, profitability, utilization etc.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work as Account Partner with overall responsibility for both sales and delivery activities, including client rapport build-up, client opportunity planning & budget management, RFP, RFI and proposal preparation, proposal & bid presentation, contract development & management, project tracking, collection management, etc.
• Meet business targets for the account in terms of sales, revenue, profitability, utilization etc.
• Lead pursuit of opportunities within the account and coordinate across sector & IBM for other opportunities and resources in the insurance industry
• Work closely with the IBM S&D Account teams where necessary to drive sales and relationship management, with good horizontal and vertical account opportunities coverage
• Drive through the sales stages towards delivery with compliance of IBM internal processes, and be actively involved in the major client projects execution for delivery success as well as new opportunity development
• Building a strong and positive partnership with the GBS FSS, service lines and other GCG sectors and groups under the GCG FSS insurance leader, and also with those focused on the GB insurance clients, deepening collaboration and shared understanding
• Bring deep industry insights and a Point of View to the client, developing insurance visibility, profile and business, supporting and partnering with the relevant account partners
Required skills:
• Be experienced in building rapport with clients, establishing a trustworthy relationship
• Solid knowledge in insurance business model , operations & IT operations
• Be knowledgeable in any of the insurance core business competencies, such as core insurance processes, cooperate governance, risk & compliance, IT architecture, IT planning, business operations, channel management, business analytics, financial management, product development, etc.
• Be experienced in drafting RFPs, RFIs and project proposals for core insurance related business & IT projects
• Had project management experience and as a key SME or delivery team leader in project delivery
• At least 5 years of insurance working experience, and 12 years in general business or IT operations and management
• Excellent Consulting and communication skill
• A fast learner, with positive attitude and a team player
