Key responsibility:

1. To be DTO project manager,  lead new product development under project process, to be involved in project at very beginning phase of project, collect and understand customer requirement, discuss internally and externally to propose solution, fully participate and lead new product’s development, until product is delivered and passed verification, could balance cost, technologies and performance to  implement competitive product

2. Deeply understand product management, to be responsible for product configuration definition, to record, maintain and  trace product version as product owner

3. Participate qualification, selection and management of third partners, ensure third partner provide needed modules for Orbis’ integrated system, define statement of work and interface with vendors

  

Description of the job (main tasks, supporting tasks, reporting line, main areas of responsibilities, etc.)

1. Manage DTO project development from beginning to end.

2. Define project scope, goals and deliveries that support business goals

3. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

4. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

5. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

6. Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel within the company.

7. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

8. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

9. Track project milestones and deliveries.

10. Maintain BoM of product during development phase, submit purchase request to SCM team

11. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations

12. As interface between Orbis and customer for customer order or Orbis China and related global team for internal order, play key communication role among project stakeholders

13. Determine the frequency and content of status reports, share information in project team.

14. Prepare sales and marketing material (from idea to solution) in technical view

15. Manage version of product includes HW and SW, output high quality development document

16. Support production team to perform NPI process

17. Has strong electrical design background, can take multiple roles as EE as well based on needs

18. Other jobs allocated by supervisor

Work experience and requirements for skills

 1. 5 years’ experience in professional telecommunication test & measurement industry as project manager or product manager

2. Excellent project management skill

3. Understand product management

4. Have enough knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical, software and mechanical sub-systems, can lead team to discuss and propose solution

5. Experiences of utilizing with instruments and measurement tools in telecommunication industry

6. Good documentation and presentation skill, present Orbis solution to internal organization or customer

7. Electrical engineer background should be a plus
