Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for strengthening the toys business, including toys range building based on running trends, inspiration and market research;

2. Collaborate with design and product development team in Europe to develop products, and work closely with key buyers from Europe and local suppliers to understand toys market requirements and trends, customer’s unmet needs and behaviors;

3. Provide insightful inputs to the toy design process in areas related to materials, cost, production and function realization;

4. Search specific toy components or products and identify qualified suppliers to support toy product construction and process required to meet performance criteria at the lowest manufacturing cost;

5. Influence toy product/solution offering roadmap activities based on a strong understanding of market and customer dynamics;

6. Provide and develop the most appropriate suppliers by investigating and analyzing all reasonable sourcing possibilities;

7. Working with suppliers in improving processes, operations and other efficiency plans to achieve cost saving or quality improvements;

8. Understand toy product design, quality and technical requirements, help in resolving issues required to bring products to market while working with the design and technical team;

9. Collect and advise new materials, new processing and new production methods to team members to help setting up product development concepts;

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree is required;

2. Minimum 5 years working experience in big buying house/trader specialized in toys;

3. Have unique opinions on toy industry, good at market survey, analysis and discovery of popular elements;

4. Have a certain understanding of toy product structure, production process and production details;

5. Strong skills in product sourcing, product development and price negotiation;

6. Great in spoken and written English and Mandarin;

7. Strong interpersonal skills, willingness to frequent travels, graphic programs and presentation skills desired and appreciated;
