What contribution will I make to Helen of Troy?

This position is responsible for electrical safety per UL/CSA/IEC/EN standards, chemical compliance and retailer test for electrical household appliance like hair dryer, curler, fan, air cleaner and coffee maker

What you’ll be doing?

- Directly work on electrical household appliance electrical safety, chemical compliance and clients’ requirements for US & Canada market

- Review the technical documentations like BOM, explored drawing, circuit diagram, UL yellow card, component certificate, instruction manual, client’s test protocol and 3rd party test report. Can provide professional technical supports to engineering & product development and marketing

- Act as a coordinator among supplier, internal party and 3rd party testing laboratory to arrange technical documentations and samples to start the application, manage the testing process and proper store the test report and certification

- Organize and maintain the knowledge database, including the regulatory requirements, provisions and guidance

- Handle the invoices through internal Oracle system

- Direct product compliance working experience on Beauty, HW or H&H category (SR)

- Solid experience on electrical household appliance per UL/CSA and IEC/EN/GB standards (SR)

- Test failure analysis and provide technical improvement advice and comment to engineering team (SR).

- Deliver the internal compliance training to supplier and internal customer (SR)

- Work independently to ensure project on time delivery with good quality with minimum supervision(SR)

What are the requirements for consideration?

- Bachelor degree

- Min 10 years of relevant experience for safety testing or electrical household appliance product compliance, and Min 8 years of relevant experience for senior level

- Experience in 3rd party agency for safety testing and project handling or in manufacturing industry for electrical household appliance, rich experience will be considered for senior position.

- Good understanding for international standards such as UL, EN, IEC, etc

- Good team player, strong analytical and project management skills with effective communication

- Good command of both spoken and written English
