STAFF OPTICAL ENGINEER, ADVANCED TEST ENGINEERING

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) head testing system development
• Develop and build optical generation and metrology system to characterize the performance and reliability of near-field transducer, and optical light path of the HAMR head
• Test result analysis to guide the design direction of the HAMR head
• Work in team with minimum supervision on tight project deadline
• Troubleshoot, debug by in-depth study
• Conduct regular design review within the team to ensure an optimized design that can cover function, cost, schedule, DFM, etc.
• Collaboration with global (US/Japan/Philippines/Thailand) and local teams on product / equipment electrical & electronics development
• Working with mechanical/electrical design, simulation, testing, servo, software, firmware team for new testing system development
• Support new product / equipment ramp up in overseas

• 与机械/电气设计，仿真，测试，伺服，软件，固件团队一起开发新的测试系统
• 支持新产品/设备在海外的升级

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

• PhD in optical or physics engineering
• MS Degree candidates are encouraged to apply too if you possess successful project experience in Optical Engineering
• Hands-on experience with optical instrumentation is required
• 光学或物理工程博士学位

PREFERRED:

• Understanding of optics, optical chip design (semiconductor laser, waveguide, Gaussian beam propagation). Familiarity or direct experience on laser package design and assembly is a plus.
• Perform Optical modeling with optical simulation tools (Lumerical, Rsoft, Zemax)
• Understand HAMR recording physics
• Experience on plasmonics, near-field optics, heat transfer, magnetic recording technical fields
• Experience on project starting from conception to design, hands-on assembly, execution, generation and interpretation of results
• 了解光学，光学芯片设计(半导体激光器，波导，高斯光束传播)。熟悉或直接有激光包装设计和装配经验者优先。
• 使用光学仿真工具(Lumerical, Rsoft, Zemax)进行光学建模
• 了解HAMR记录物理
• 具有等离子体、近场光学、热传导、磁记录等技术领域的工作经验
• 有从概念到设计，动手组装，执行，产生和解释结果的项目经验
