Senior Epi Material Characterization Scientist

Responsibility:

· Responsible for routine and advanced characterization projects of GaN-based epitaxial materials.

· Responsible for design, set-up and operation of advanced semiconductor materials characterization systems.

· Analyze characterization data and identify root cause for III-nitrides material quality improvement.

· Carry out failure analysis from the material perspective and identify root sources for reliability improvement.

· As a key member of epi process R&D development team, provide crucial inputs and assist in developing next-generation GaN-based UV/Blue/Green LED Epi processes..

Qualifications:

· Ph.D. (with 5+ years of applicable hands-on experience) in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline(s). Master degree with strong background will also be considered.

· Muli-years direct experiences and deep professional expertise in advanced III-V semiconductor structural and optical characterization, such as PL, TEM, SEM, STEM, XRD, CL, RBS, SIMS, EL, AFM are a must.

· Prior experience in III-V materials surface characterization techniques such as: LEED, FTIR, XPS is strongly preferred.

· Direct experience with commercial MOCVD process and equipment technology and prior track record of GaN epitaxial material growth is a plus.

· Experience in semiconductor manufacturing epitaxy utilizing design of experiment (DOE), statistical process control (SPC), and methodical data analysis for process performance improvement and structured (root-cause) troubleshooting is essential.

· Demonstrated proficiency in the use of statistical analysis programs for gathering and analyzing process data related to performance specifications, such as JMP, MiniTab.

· A highly-motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and a strong team player with good communication skills.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities, thriving on technical challenges within and outside of core area of expertise, and to interact effectively across multi-functional teams.

· 负责GaN基外延材料的结构和光电特性表征工作。

· 负责设计，安装和运行先进的化合物半导体表征设备；

· 负责进行多种表征数据的分析，找到提高III-V半导体材料质量的根本原因，提高LED内量子效率；

· 负责从材料科学的角度进行失效分析，提升光电器件的可靠性，改善产品的良率。

· 作为外延工艺研发团队的重要一员，基于材料表征的发现，为下一代GaN基LED的开发及性能提升提出关键性的意见。

任职要求:

· 物理学、材料科学、电子工程、化学工程等相关学科的博士学历，具备5年以上的氮化物半导体材料及器件方面，尤其GaN LED领域的实际工作经验。硕士学历特别优秀的候选人可以考虑。

· 必须具备多年半导体表征方面的工作经验，在以下一种或多种关键的结构及光电表征技术领域有深厚的技术功底和扎实的专业知识：PL, TEM, SEM, STEM, XRD, CL, RBS, SIMS, EL,AFM等。

· 熟悉三五族半导体表面分析技术，如LEED, FTIR, XPS等。

· 优先考虑同时具备量产型MOCVD机台和技术开发的经验，尤其是GaN外延材料生长经验的候选人。

· 非常熟悉了解，并通过DOE，SPC以及相应的数据分析处理方法来分析root-cause并解决问题

· 熟练使用各种数据分析方法，以及掌握数据分析软件的使用，如JMP, MiniTab等

· 自律并可独立开展技术研究和开发的研究者，并具备优秀的团队沟通协调能力

· 可以适应短时间，高强度压力下的技术难题和事项的挑战，并且在专业范围以内或以外，通过有效的团队协作解决各种不同的问题

· 优先考虑美国和欧洲留学背景的应聘者；此外优先考虑中科院，北京大学，苏州纳米所，中国科学技术大学，吉林大学，南京大学，武汉大学，浙江大学，厦门大学，大连理工大学，山东大学等一本院校

· 专业的英语听、说、读、写能力
