Responsibilities

· Be accountable for factory output, supply, and meeting ramp up demand

· Formulate contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead time, single source, and any supply gaps

· Accountable for Purchase order execution, invoicing issue resolution, and supporting asset disposition and logistical efforts

· Partner and work with a cross-functional team to drive the supplier selection process and component qualification both under strict engineering and commercial best practices/disciplines

· Actively participate in aiding to solve technical challenges along with XFN partners

· Accountability for securing components and/or services in the above category that will provide competitive advantage in both technology and cost

· Achieve established commitments on total cost results, supply, quality and compliance adherence, and on-time delivery

· Strong command of value engineering and technical cost reduction concepts to both product and category level

· Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into the supply chain

· Drive Early Supplier Involvement initiatives to ensure our suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and future product roadmaps

· Deliver most aggressive should-cost and budget (opex/capex) projections, with the ability to standup to the most aggressive alternatives, doubts, and scrutiny

· Clear command of cost inputs, cost structure and technical specifications for all major categories in scope (Display and Optics; 2D/3D sensing)

· Identify new vendors, technologies, and drive early vendor involvement initiatives to support new product designs and future product roadmaps

· Be an expert in the technology vertical and technical specifications for all major categories in scope (Display and Optics; 2D/3D sensing) for cost and supply

· Support Total Cost Reduction program to ensure the lowest possible total cost, including product cost, transportation cost, inventory cost, and cost of quality

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent

· Minimum 7 years of experience as an engineer

· Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, EPM, TPM, or business-related positions.

· Extensive knowledge and experience in consumer electronic components supply chain and cost structure

· Experience and knowledge in Optics, Displays, Cameras and Depth Sensing technology

· 5+ years of experience in product or process definition, having taken a Display, Optics, Camera/Depth Sensing product from concept to execution

· Experience in various vision sensing technologies, including, ToF, Structure light, VCSL, LEDs, Cameras, filters, DOE, sub-mounts, image sensors, camera lens, molded glass optics, unibody lens assembly, Wafer level optics, micro lens, free form optics, Fresnel Optics, optical coating, optical film lamination, LCD, AMOLED, uLED, uOLED, Touch module, etc.

· Experience in market analysis to dissect market size, players, customers, growth, technology replacements/forecasts, pricing trends, etc., to formulate sourcing strategies

· Experience in financial statement analysis to derive should-cost models and cost competitiveness/financial strengths of suppliers, as well as gathering market intelligence

· Experience articulating points of view with executive management but execute plans when directed

· Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, contract negotiation and supply base management

· Ability to build trusting relationships with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional partners and drive discussions around optimization of technical specifications, and features vs. value trade-offs

· Ability to travel extensively, and on short notice
