Purpose of the position 

  

• GFSI schemes cover products for FSSC22000, BRCGS, SQF, GLOBALGAP etc which we issue a certificate or make a certificate decision and for which we have (or aspire to have) accreditation or panel member privilege

• The purpose of the role is to give technical advice on sales or auditors for solving the technical support in handling sales process or delivering process to facilitate the effective & efficient management of schemes deployed by BSI on a China basis

• The aim is to ensure consistent and compliant delivery to our customers while remaining compliant with accreditation requirements for the scheme they manage.

   

        

 

  

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  

Global management system schemes have product manuals defining how and what is to be delivered. Technical mangers are responsible for the maintenance of the scheme manual and in some cases there development

• Oversight for scheme regarding assessor competence, assessment duration / frequency, and team composition

• Support accountability for sales and marketing staff knowledge and scheme requirements application

• Liaise with BSI staff and clients on scheme and scheme manual interpretation and application

• Assist with the sales process for this scheme

• Ensure local systems are either in place or being implemented that allow their business unit to be self-sufficient in the management of the scheme locally.

• Ensure that their local scheme documentation meet the requirements and principles contained with the global scheme manual.

• Coach colleagues as appropriate especially where those members are inexperienced assessors or unfamiliar with clients' business/technology and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.

• Maintain and develop assessment skills and technical and management system standards knowledge.

• Provide technical support to clients through business development, sales and customer service staff

• Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance and “Make Excellence a Habit”.

                      

 

  

Candidate specifications 

  

• University graduate, major in Agriculture or Food Science, Food Engineering, Technology or related discipline

• Proven working experience of QC in agriculture, food products industry or food safety management, experience in food safety for more than 6 years is preferred 

• Assessors with Multi-skilled capabilities in the various food systems will be given priority

  and is preferred

• ISO/FSSC 22000 Food auditor/package auditor

• HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)

• BRCGS food/IoP auditor

• SQF food /quality auditor

• Global GAP (Good Agriculture Practice)

• 2nd Party Supplier Chain audits for major brands and retailers

• Training Qualifications/Skills are highly advantageous

• Commercial understanding of compliance industry essential

• Be self motivated, flexible, with excellent time management/planning skills

• Willing to travel on business An enthusiastic and committed team player

• Good public speaking and business development skill will be considered advantageous

• Resilient under pressure, with pragmatic adaptability

• Strong focus on delivery of client experience and value proposition

• Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels within an organisation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail

• Update the GFSI related flyer in time and accurate;

• Support sales activities and meet customer satisfaction;

• Deliver as per Compliance & Risk timelines

• Feedback efficiently to both clients and internal queries

• Timely submission of all reporting

• Actively solve problems when needed with “can do” attitude
