Job Title: Electrical/Electronics Engineer

The Electrical/Electronics Engineer will work with customers to propose and define electrical design requirements for their products, and also to implement designs based on customer requirements. Additionally, the Electrical/Electronics Engineer will work with customers' suppliers and oversee the introduction of new designs into Chinese factories, conduct validation testing, and strive to improve designs. Further, the Electrical/Electronics Engineer will be responsible for supporting mature electrical designs in production.

Major Accountabilities:
A successful Electrical/Electronics Engineer will be an outstanding problem solver and communicator.

• Clearly document customers' design requirements and product requirements.
• Create high level electronics systems designs, and then create detailed electrical schematics and multilayer PCBA designs.
• Conduct design reviews with Riverwood colleagues and with customers from the US and the EU. Conduct detailed DFx reviews with suppliers.
• Provide detailed, professional design and DFx review reports.
• Create design validation test plans and manufacturing test plans, and support manufacturing test development.
• Participate in root cause analysis for design failures and manufacturing defects and lead system bring up for new designs.
• Create detailed project plans and write clear status reports for design projects.
  Work on cost improvement proposals.

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, or higher in electronics engineering or automation engineering. Master's degree preferred.
• 5 years of original electronics design experience.
• Mastery of Protel or OrCAD design tools, including parts library management.
• Analog & Digital electronics design experience. Power supply and instrumentation design experience desirable.
• Experience working with test labs to obtain FCC, CE, and UL certifications.
• Expert level knowledge of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debug skills.
• Good communication ability, and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team including supply chain, operations, and quality professionals.
• Ability to complete a thorough design for test (DFT) review of an electronics product for both PCBA and mechanical issues and create a professional quality report of all findings.
