We seek, dynamic, creative and most importantly highly motivated individuals to fill the position of:

Cloud Architect

(Location: Donghua Park, Shenzhen, China)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Reports functionally to the VP of Development

· Heads the cloud technical competency team comprising of Cloud Solution engineers, Security consultant, with active participation from system administrators

· Provides innovative yet practical cloud based architectural solution blueprint for various FCS platforms and ensuring synergy and cross interoperability of these platforms to cater for elastic usage demands

· Drives the migration of our existing products suite to a cloud-based environment, catering for ease of management, long term cost saving on our customers IT maintenance cost

· Provide architecture solution that addresses the need for high availability, load balancing, graceful software updates with minimum or zero downtime, backup of information across different geo-graphical sites and time-zones.

· Provide the high level disaster recovery design and work closely with the cloud engineers and system administrators to implement these disaster recovery solution

· Work hand in hand with the security consultant to define and implement cloud based security policies.

· Own the technical engagement and success of implementation projects and developing a deep expertise in cloud technologies.

· Provide consultancy and pre-sales business development in client engagements to conduct proof of concepts for Cloud solutions

· Support Sales team in creating pre-sales materials and collaterals of our cloud based solutions capabilities

REQUIREMENTS :

· Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology.

· At least 10 years of experience building, design and architecting enterprise level web based solutions, of which minimal of 3 years should be in architecture position.

· Strong hands-on J2EE architecting, design and implementation experience.

· Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.

· Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers.

· Experience in designing solution using one of the major cloud based solution vendors such as AWS, Google AppEngine or Microsoft Azura. Knowledge of the SLA provided by each of these vendors.

· Hypervisors/Virtualization

· Able to quickly assimilate knowledge of technologies and products (highly technical individual with domain expertise and credibility)

· Knowledge of cloud security architecture involving secure data transfer protocols

· Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of organization.

· Demonstrate a high degree of ownership, accountability, and pride in delivering quality results.

· Strong verbal and written communications skills in English is a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

· Knowledge of the IT workflow in the hospitality domain will be a plus.

· Regular Travel (Up to 30%) between FCS engineering sites in Malaysia, Shenzhen and Singapore, and customer locations will be required.
