ASSISTANT MANAGER, SUPPLIER COMPLIANCE

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Responsible for managing and reporting compliance of all contract manufacturers (suppliers) and working directly with Global Sourcing and Quality functions to ensure all suppliers meet company and customer compliance standards

REPORTS TO: Director, Supplier Quality - Shekou, China

FUNCTIONAL INTERACTIONS: Char-Broil factories (new and existing), Third Part Audit Firms, Quality Assurance (China & U.S. teams), Retail Customer Audit functions

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Char-Broil social compliance Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) and Global Security Validation (GSV) / C-TPAT audit programs

Establish a working knowledge of W.C. Bradley / Char-Broil and customers' specific compliance requirements

Manage audit programs via Intertek Testing Services (ITS) -Global Supply Chain Compliance (GSCC) web site, to include set-up of factories, scheduling audits, reviewing audit reports and driving corrective actions to completion through implementation of preventive actions

Evaluate corrective actions for effectiveness and follow up to ensure consistent and effective implementation

Establish working relationships with third party auditing firms and evaluate their capabilities and products in order to insure company is utilizing best practices and meets Char-Broil's audit compliance requirements

Provide initial evaluation and assessment of new factories relative to their knowledge of third party audit criteria and requirements Provide initial training to new and existing factories relative to social and security requirements and expectations

Provide leadership and drive implementation of effective and timely Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA) plans relative to results of third party audits

Establish annual audit schedules and provide tracking of audit schedules, results, corrective actions and re-audits as required. Provide periodic status updates.

Establish working relationship with additional W.C. Bradley companies, as well as Corporate Internal Audit to establish best practices and comparative performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science Degree

Minimum 6 year experience in social and C-TPAT compliance auditing or management

Demonstrated knowledge of China country laws relative to social compliance

Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Customs C-TPAT (Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program

Proficient computer skills: data collection, analysis and presentations (Microsoft Suite)

Five years experience in a manufacturing environment -Auditing, Q.A., Human Resources

Five years experience as a factory auditor -auditor certification performed by a recognized certifying agency

Language skills (written and verbal) - Mandarin and English (Cantonese a plus)

Requires extensive weekly travel to factories throughout Asia.
