Position Description：

• Focused on meeting customer commitments and delivering solutions and technology responses on time
• Work with program leader to develop commercial and customer engagement plan and priorities
• Closely work with commercial and Product Line team to effectively execute customer plan
• Work closely with customers and the technology team to develop a product specification and definition
• Negotiate and manage NDA and contracts with customers working with the legal team
• Serve as key liaison between customer R&D and Corning internal functions (commercial technology, RD&E, program team)
• Understand customer requirements and constraints and turn customer needs into actionable plans
• Work closely with Corning internal functions to confirm value proposition of the Corning solution, and evaluate business opportunities in terms of product, market, and process capability
• Leverage internal resources to respond to customer requests in a timely manner
Envision market trends and build appropriate roadmaps

• Devise Corning’s solution, conduct customer specification reviews
• Facilitate internal/external communication, ensure that project objective and milestone are achieved
• Resolve relevant issues (commercial, technical)
• Lead communication between customer and Corning’s R&D teams, cultivate strong technology relationship with customers, and drive internal alignment
• Understanding customer Org-charts and decision-making criteria
• Continually look for ways to increase customer satisfaction

• Bachelor/Masters in chemistry/material science
• 5-8years of working experience in paint and coatings industry in roles requiring deep technical understanding
• Work experience in roles interfacing with customer
• Skills for quantitative analysis, data interpretation and B2B technical sales/service
• Experience in new product development, business development or evaluation of new technologies

• Fluent in English, Chinese
• Effective customer facing skills
• Ability to interact effectively with customer R&D
• Ability to work and communicate in different cultures
• Deal with tasks with a sense of urgency and can multi-task
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft office package
• Extensive knowledge of coating manufacturing processes and chemistry
• Knowledge of biocides and antimicrobial properties
• Business savvy
