ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The individual will be responsible for reverse engineering in package integration engineering team. The primary focus of reverse engineering are package design, assembly process flow and packaging technology.
• Source or purchase latest electronic products in the market such as latest phone models, smart watches, SSD drives etc. Work closely with technical marketing and reverse engineering teams in US, Indian and Israel.
• Deconstruct the products through various failure analysis tools, reveal designs, and extract knowledge from the target object. Compare competitor’s packaging features with Western Digital ’s. Generate reverse engineering/competitor analysis report.
• Host regular competitive analysis review with cross-functional teams. Provide inputs to new product packaging roadmaps. Support new product development strategy to technical marketing teams.
• Maintain reverse engineering standard working procedures and analysis checklists.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Experience performing semiconductor assembly or device failure analysis.
• Familiar with failure analysis tools such as X-Section, SEM, FIB, TEM, X-Ray, ORBICH, EMMI, Curve Tracer, Oscilloscope etc.
• BS, MS or PhD Degree in material science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or other related engineering subjects.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Good to have a strong interest in electronic gadgets.
