Regional SAP Business Analyst, Operations & Supply Chain
Job Responsibilities:
● Lead threads of projects and initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing
functionality:
● Understand business processes and how underlying configuration and data supports or enables
related processes
● Gather, analyze, refine and document business requirements
● Assess and recommend appropriate technology for solutions
● Configure solutions with a focus on providing business value
● Test and implement solutions
● Support and enhance solutions, continually looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and
effectiveness
● Assists others in the organization with SAP knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their
job function by providing:
○ end-user documentation
○ training delivery
○ technical documentation
○ knowledge transfer
○ Data management, Planning & Production Master data and processes
● Handle Plan (Forecast) to Produce process
● Liaison with the appropriate regional or global BA for any operation issue.
● Ensures the effective implementation and support of corporate initiatives with the adoption of global
process and best practices, yet accommodates local business needs
● Provides leadership and support to a cross-business team of individuals, responsible for local process
execution
● Performs analysis and investigation into root cause of system problems, proposes solutions.
● Prepares detailed functional and technical design specifications
● Reviews requests for add, change or delete of functionality within a process
● Monitors process adherence and consults with the process owner and user for issue resolution.
● Supports and enhances SAP with a continued focus on process improvement to meet business case
goals
● Maintains SAP business rules configuration
● Participates in system upgrades and new business implementations
● Maintains up-to-date end user and system documentation
● Networks with other companies and associations to surface best practices opportunities for Brady.
● Investigates future system releases & enhancements
● Collaborates with fellow BA's, Developers and Basis engineers to identify and implement crossfunctional
improvements
● Develops, coordinates and implements plans to test processes and configuration assuring quality of
any additions, changes or deletions to the system
● Monitors and documents implementation problems & revision requests
● Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects, where needed
● Consults with business unit managers and end users to identify & document business needs and
objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, formatting and
security requirements
● Provides timely response to end user calls and help tickets assisting in problem resolution
Job Requirements:
● At least 3 years in similar Plan to Produce business analyst roles
● Strong understanding of Operations Supply Chain business process
● Strong problem solving and analytical skills to ensure process and system improvements are
warranted
- Recognized Diploma/Degree in Business, Accountancy, Operations &/or Supply
Chain, Computer Science or IT
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional
in enterprise systems implementation
- Experience of validation of manufacturing operations.
- Good technical and commercial knowledge of the process
- Previous involvement in full SAP PP business implementations
- Detailed knowledge of many of the PP functions such as BOM's routings, production
versions, MRP, MRP, MRP areas, capacity planning, capacity levelling, integration with
SCM, material availability checking, production orders, shop floor papers, material
staging (WM), in process inspection, etc.
- Experience of other SAP logistics modules, including logistics execution for material
staging, quality management, notifications, handling units.
- Sound knowledge with ABAP
- Good level of skills with Microsoft desktop applications
- Experience in IDOCs and customization necessary
- Desired experience in Workflow and Variant Configuration, but not necessary
- At least one full cycle SAP implementation project with hands-on project experience
designing, testing and implementing PP and solutions
- Demonstrated experience w.r.t integration points of pp with SD/MM/FI and other
modules
- Basic knowledge in IT and Windows OS environment
- Good command on English both verbal and written skills, apart from Chinese
- Proven ability to work in fast paced, self directed environment
- Possess ability to clearly communicate at varying levels of the organization
- Strong conflict resolution skills, detail-oriented and proactive
