Responsibilities:

Being an active and contributing member of the global quality in pursuit of:

• Developing and implementing harmonized strategic quality initiatives, and defining success measures with the global Quality team
• Driving cross functional and supporting cross divisional quality practice integration
• Ensuring the overall effectiveness of the Quality Management System
• Providing leadership and support during regulatory inspections and customer audits
• Identifying and implementing quality system improvements when gaps are identified.
• Proactively investigating, identifying and implementing improved Quality practices.

                            

Leading and developing the local team by:

• Driving functional excellence through team development, individual coaching and performance feedback
• Influencing and integrating quality practices into Gore’s business processes with cross-functional collaboration as part of the leadership team in the plant.
• Ensuring resources are aligned with top priority needs. Determining and ensuring adequate resources for the quality organization (associates, systems, equipment)
• Maintaining an industry perspective, including current and future trends which impact Gore business

                    

Demonstrated ability to:

• Identify root cause and address root cause of issues
• Develop and adopt business processes in support of quality objectives
• Make timely and difficult decisions
• Effectively communicate, collaborate and influence cross-functionally
• Adapt to change and be open to new ideas
• Handle pressure and adjust plans to meet changing needs
• Understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering field
• 5+ years in a quality function role
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• A proven track record of significant product and/or process improvements
• Experience with and strong knowledge of an effective quality management system
