WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases identify and isolate problems with the software and its design. The position involves close interaction with the development and functional team members.
Key Responsibilities:
● Promote, monitor and ensure the adoption of Quality processes, procedures, policies and standards.
● Evaluate and test software programs to verify IT programs function according to user requirements and technical specifications.
● Validate that software performs to established guidelines.
● Create and execute functional, regression, performance test cases along with appropriate test plan documentation.
● Work with IT developers, Product Owners/Managers and Support staff to develop software tests which verify and exercise product requirements to ensure thorough execution of process.
● Write, review, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for IT program design and
product evaluation.
● Record product quality control issues, track progress toward resolutions, communicate effective
workarounds for clients and provide estimated completion dates for tested items.
● Participate in review of standards, procedures, tools, and process.
● Monitor, manage and communicate with developers on defects.
● Prepare and develop test strategies and test plans.
● Promote and Mentor others in QA methodologies, practices and techniques.
● Assist project leaders in solving quality assurance issues.
● Establish quality metrics and measures.
● Identify automated tools for monitoring quality standards and collection of metrics
● Need to attend regular meetings with business / technical stakeholders in the US, Europe or China beyond local working hours (by phone or web conferencing), minimal business travels required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE TEAM:
● Technical knowhow and experience in software quality management
● Drive excellent quality and productivity improvement on software development and release
management
● Best practices, standards and governance in software development lifecycle
Experience:
● Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in IT software quality assurance or tester role
● Prior working experience in IT system analysis or programming roles on global application projects will be preferred
● Excellent overall knowledge and understanding of quality systems trends, concepts and methodologies
● Hands-on experience with HP ALM
● Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
● Solid conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrate out-of-the-box problem solving skills, attention to details
● Experience in working with technical experts in a matrix environment
● Strong experience in using Agile methodology and tools for application development, knowledge on Jira and working in a Scrum environment is a plus
● Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
● Strong communicator able to present, explain and “sell” technical direction, concepts and solutions to different level of business / technical audiences.
● Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
● Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organisational benefit
● Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude, customer focused and have good sense of
urgency
● Team player with strong leading, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to work
effectively across teams in a matrix environment to ensure successful delivery of solutions
