Are you ready for the next chapter in your career? Based in Shenzhen, China, we are an exciting, forward-thinking business with an international client portfolio and we are looking for an ambitious industrial product designer to join our expanding team

You will:

• Have a ‘can do’ approach to working, be proactive, enthusiastic, anticipate challenges and address issues in an inventive way!
• Be a creative thinker, always looking for a new way of doing things.
• Have an analytical mind, asking questions and evaluating projects on an ongoing basis.
• Be an excellent communicator both verbally and written, having confidence to share ideas to clients, the team and suppliers.
• Have a consistently committed approach to product development from conception to finished product.
• Have an eye for detail, with exacting standards.
• Be a team player, understanding common goals.
• Understand the fluid nature of commercial design with an ability to adapt to the changing needs of the client and the wider business.

  

The role:

• Analyse and understand manufacturing, products, markets, and trends and understand how these can be applied in the design process.
• Execute the complete design process, from brain storming, sketch, renderings, CAD modelling, CAD rendering, model making.
• Make professional presentations to clients or suppliers.
• Help with general running of design department.

The detail:

• Degree Product Design related field

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a product design environment
• Fluent Chinese or native Chinese speaker
• Have worked in English speaking environment with a good command of English and a good knowledge of western consumer lifestyle and trends
• Experience in the design industry with baby products, children's toys and/or furniture would be an advantage, but not essential
