The Global Sourcing Manager, Contracted Manufacture (CM), will be responsible for the sourcing and supplier management activities of Sonos’ Contracted manufacture. The successful candidate will play a significant role in developing Sonos’ global OEM/ ODM sourcing strategy and leading its execution. The successful candidate must have extensive experience working with OEM/ODM supplier base, specifically those operating in China, within the high-volume consumer electronic sector. Additionally, the candidate should have in depth knowledge of final assembly, manufacturing, testing and packaging processes. They must possess the skills and experiences to conduct the following responsibilities:

  

  

• Define and maintain, with input and consensus of all internal stakeholders, a sourcing strategy for CM that meets Sonos’ business growth, product performance, volume, quality, and cost objectives, while maximizing Sonos’ leverage and buying power;

  

  

• Lead a sourcing selection process that includes a cross functional team of Product Development, Engineering, QA, and supply management;

  

  

• Manage suppliers through product life, lead all activities in the areas of cost management and supply management;

  

  

• Lead Contracted Manufacture contract negotiations;

  

  

• Continuously maintain adequate CM manufacturing capacities that support Sonos’ product volume forecasts; Oversee the supplier forecasting and commit process;

  

  

• Identify value engineering opportunities and yield rate improvement for sustaining products and program manage the implementation to achieve cost and supply improvements;

  

  

• Lead Quarterly Business Review;

  

  

  

  

  

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements

  

  

1. A minimum of 10 years working experience related to supply chain, manufacturing, global sourcing

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in OEM/ ODM sourcing with suppliers operating in China; in a global sourcing organization of high volume consumer electronics industry

3. Solid NPI management experience

4. A proven track record of quickly learning a new sourcing environment and the ability to understand new technologies;

5. The demonstrated capability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving;

6. A strategic thinker and results oriented;

7. Natural leadership competencies; influences others through style, personality and subject expertise rather than organizational design;

8. An ability to balance business and technical objectives in decision making;

9. A proven supplier relationship management track record;

10. Price and contract negotiation skills;

11. Comfortable working in a start-up environment;

12. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Mandarin and English

13. Ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural global business environment;

14. Excellent decisiveness - the ability to make sound business decisions in the absence of perfect or complete data;

    In addition, the candidate should have a bachelor degree, preferably in engineering, from an accredited university, and excellent Mandarin and English language skills, both written and spoken.
