Let’s have a look on the Job Summary

During tooling development stage, manage Production Engineers in Vietnam, working effectively with Tool Makers / Manufacturing Vendors to ensure injection molds are properly fabricated, the optimized manufacturing processes are being selected for mass production and the tooling development milestones are met.

During mass production stage, manage Production Engineers in China, working effectively with factories to ensure production processes are under controlled and all TMS quality and product safety requirements are met for final products.

What you’ll bring to the TMS

• Frequently travel to different manufacturing locations in China, work closely with the individual on-site Production Engineer and offer technical support.
• Actively participate different tooling development meetings; such as design review meeting, EP meeting, tooling tracking meeting, working closely with internal teams and external factories to ensure the molds are properly built and delivered on time.
• Maintain and publish “PA Tracking Summary” on weekly basis and making sure the factories adhere to the planned PA schedule.
• Monitor the factories adhere to our sample making procedures / protocols and making sure the samples are properly made according to our requirements.
• Work with factories to ensure optimized manufacturing processes are being used and proper process control are implemented for mass production.
• Monitor the Tool Makers’ performance by establish performance targets and identify the gaps.
• Work closely with project team, Tool Makers and Manufacturing Vendors to develop product, schedule or process improvement plan and execute the plan.

• Technical expertise in plastic toys, premium & children’s products.
• Proven experience working with factories in high volume production.
• Good knowledge in a variety of other product areas.
• At least 5 years working experience in toys or hard plastic industry 
• Degree in manufacturing engineering or relevant scientific/technical discipline
• Strong analytic thinking with good problem-solving ability
• Exceptional knowledge on plastic product design and mold making processes.
• Good knowledge of the plastic material, their usage and limitations
• Solid experience on injection molding workshop procedures and best practice
• Good communication and influence skills
• Good spoken and written English, Mandarin / Cantonese
• Reliable and strong character
• High integrity and business ethics
• Team Player and willing to travel in China and stationing in factories (inside and outside Guangdong Providence)
