Position Description

Essential Functions

Consults with internal and external business partners on strategic initiatives by developing project plans to achieve Global Sourcing and Planning and Process goals; prioritizing and executing work streams within business structure strategies; integrating and prioritizing timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring proper planning, testing, and delivery of high-level strategic initiatives.

Leads the implementation of change initiative projects to achieve desired results by leading the execution of transformational change and processes; developing plans to implement processes; assessing people's readiness for change; managing expectations; adjusting approaches so that positive change is adopted by all business partners and stakeholders (for example, end users and suppliers); ensuring timely project management from pilot through implementation stage to enable sustainable processes throughout the business unit.

Develops project strategies and leads the implementation of global strategies, processes, and best practices by leading an internal team; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business (for example, in-market merchants, Compliance, Direct Imports); documenting project scopes; developing long range project plans; and communicating with and influencing decision makers and business partners within the organization.

Drives accountability to achieve goals within a cross-functional area by developing strong relationships with stakeholders; influencing strategy direction and deliverables; recommending and gaining acceptance of new processes and systems; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, or related field and 2 years experience in project management OR 4 years’ experience in project management, process engineering or related field.

Four years’ experience using intermediate functionality of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software (for example, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to create business strategy presentations, analysis, and training documents.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in International Business.

Five years’ experience managing multiple projects in a matrix organization. Five years’ experience in Retail, Imports or Sourcing.

Five years’ experience leading Walmart project teams to solve problems in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Merchandising or Sourcing.

Six Sigma Training and/or certification.
