Purpose:

Reporting into the NextGen Programme Test Manager, you will work closely with the stakeholders across the organisation to drive the implementation of the test strategy in line with organisation standards, with a focus on the planning, coordination and execution management of the automated testing components.

As the NextGen Senior Automation Test Lead you will manage team resources as well as partnerships with stakeholders across different locations. You should have a strong background in test automation and managing testing projects, preferably within an exchange or the post-trade business domain. You should also be familiar with data warehouse and ETL concepts. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills that allows you to work successfully with senior stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities:

·              Provide thought leadership and best practice guidance for further development of automation test strategy, approaches, tools and test harnesses;

·              Work closely with the stakeholders across the programme to implement and manage the automation components of the test strategy;

·              Act as single point of contact for all automation related testing activities on NG programme.

·              Execute the automation components of test strategy and test planning as per the test strategy;

·              Co-ordinate business automation testing in accordance with test plan;

·              Manage and maintain designated test management tools (Jira and Test Management related plug-ins; HKEX proprietary test automation tools);

·              Plan and coordinate the enhancements required to the HKEX proprietary test automation tools;

·              Automated testing activities include:

？   Definition of automated test scripts (test conditions, test cases design & traceability);

？   Management of test scenarios repository, including test data preparation, implementation and debugging of test scenarios;

？   Manage and co-ordinate test resources;

？   Build-up and maintenance of automated regression library;

？   Automated test and regression library execution, result verification and documentation;

？   Defect analysis and resolution management;

？   Manage and run defect triages;

？   Daily and Weekly status reporting, etc.;

·              Review outputs and artefacts of the automated testing;

·              Join progress update meeting and provide update of the test progress;

·              Reporting into the NextGen Programme Test Manager.

General Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

·          5 to 8 years' experience in software testing, thereof significant exposure to automated testing;

·          Required: leadership skills to set the direction of the test automation and to guide and motivate the team;

·          Knowledge of post trade business (clearing, settlement, risk management) an advantage;

·          Knowledge in data warehouse and ETL concepts an advantage;

·          Team and project management experience;

·          Good analytical and problem solving skills;

·          Good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills;

·          Good written and oral English and Mandarin, Cantonese an advantage.

Desired Technical Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

·          Test tools for functional and non-functional testing;

·          DevOps Tooling and Repositories (GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins);

·          Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Confluence and related plug-ins);

·          Databases – DB2/Oracle;

·          Oracle SQL/MySQL/MDX or comparable;

·          Unix Scripting;

·          Protocols (API, XML, UDP).
