Key Responsibilities:

Maintain close relationships with business personnel in order to understand changing business requirements and drive adoption of standard MES practices.

Collaborate with business users to define requirements that meet business needs while adhering to global standards and practices, Factor in operational simplicity, resiliency, and efficiency into recommendations. Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development.

Design, implement and support MES systems in accordance to standard Corning IT practices.

Develop IMS applications using various technical capabilities like Camstar modeling, .Net, AJAX, T-SQL, Etc…

Support operation tasks in conducting issue/request management and maintenance, develop and implement resolutions that address the root cause of problems

Operational/process improvement and preventative maintenance

  

Travel Requirements: 

This role may require occasional travel to Asia manufacturing locations in China, Taiwan, or Japan.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree above (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistic, Management)

Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems and manufacturing process

5+3-5 years of experience programming by JAVA, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET or other computer languages.

5+3-5 years of experience above in develop/support manufacturing execution systems

Ability to analysis, design, develop, test, implement and maintain MES systems.

Experienced with system specification, test or system maintenance documentation writing.

Experienced working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Good English & Chinese communication in speaking and writing.

Experienced with Camstar development/maintenance is a plus.

Experienced with Camstar development/maintenance is a plus

Experience with BI development (SSRS/Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.

Basic understanding in code management and version control (Git/Azure DevOps) is a plus.

Agile development technique knowledge is a plus(For Reference)

Experienced with OPC technology and (EAP)Equipment Integration is a plus.
