Position: Purchasing Director

Location: Shenzhen

About the company:

Our client is a European company with factory for in Shenzhen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Development:

Work with US team on seasonal placement strategy to ensure right product, right vendor

Manage the purchasing cost to make sure our market and vendors are competitive.

Manage spec packet hand off with factories and engineering technicians.

Communicate program approval to vendors and ensure that the factory has an MCS and approved color panel before they go into production

Troubleshoot any issues that come up in production and work with factory to ensure on-time delivery and notify sourcing if there are any major delays.

2. Vendor relations and capacity management

Align with corporate sourcing teams on short and long term sourcing strategies

Develop strong relationships with all our key vendors in a high ethics standard.

Conduct monthly capacity forecast and scorecard discussions

3. Other initiative related to CSR and people development

Main requirements:

Proven project management skills

Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers and reporting. Experience in collecting and analyzing data. To that end, be very detailed, organized.

Computer literate - strong knowledge especially in Excel, SharePoint, PPT and word

Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, Tooling and mold shop facilities as well as how supply chains work

Candidate must possess at least a relevant degree with 8 years of practical experience including 5 years of additional management responsibility

Knowledge of overseas sourcing and product development

Knowledge of Product manufacturing operations

Preferred experience working with or for a Retailer.
