Responsibilities

1、Perform day to day tasks related to Type Approval (TA) and Certifications of Sonim’s mobile phones and related accessories;

2、The Type Approval scope includes Industry (PTCRB, GCF, CCF), Regulatory (FCC, IC, RED.RCM, etc) and Stand-alone certifications (BT SIG, WiFi Alliance, NFC Forum, IEEE, CEC, etc), Environment certificates (ROHS, REACH, WEEE, CP65, UL110), Explosion district used device certificate ( IECex, ATEX, CSA, UL, FM)and Local Type Approvals (per different countries’ regulations);

3、These tasks include (but are not limited to):

§    Handling of certifications processes for LTE/WCDMA/GSM/EVDO/CDMA mobile phones for different programs (PTCRB, GCF, FCC, CE, etc) and countries/markets (Local Type Approvals). This includes (but is not limited to):

§  Planning of certification related activities: test scopes, preparations, schedules;

§  Preparation of test units and documentation for the start of cert. activities;

§  Coordinating and handling of cert. activities in cooperation with development/project teams and 3rd parties (test houses, consultants, etc);

§  Collection and storing of certification tests reports/results;

§  Preparation and handling of formal filing documentation for the certification processes;

§  Collection and storing of formal certifications documentation: certifications, grants, etc;

4、 Support and consulting of project teams regarding the certifications needed for the particular product;

5、Maintaining a data base for Industry/Regulatory and Local TA documentation (i.e. Technical Construction Files) related to our products;

6、Interfacing between 3rd parties (test houses, design houses, certification bodies), project development and test teams;

7、Development of best practices and competencies related to Type Approval and Acceptance of Sonim mobile phones;

8、Following the development of industry and regulatory requirements and test standards related to Type Approval of LTE/WCDMA/GSM/EVDO/CDMA mobile phones.

Suitable Background and Competences and Abilities

1、Experience with handling certification processes for LTE/WCDMA/GSM/EVDO/CDMA mobile phones;

2、 Very good verbal and written communications skills in English;

3、Very good Project Management skills;

4、 Good social skills, open attitude and ability to perform in a multi-cultural, multi-country environment;

5、Attitude to stretch out and meet tough deadlines;

6、MS (preferred) or Bachelors degree of Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar technical subjects.
