Sr. Process Engineer - Software

Key Areas of Responsibilities

- Describe production flow from SW point of view

- Make flowcharts of production flow from SW point of view:

1) Make sure flowcharts are up to date at all times

2) To be able for development to know actions taken in previous stations when problems appear

3) To give change to development team to review the flow

4) Outside of operator instructions it should also clearly mention the power status before and after the station (mains connected or not, battery connected or not)

- Local products specialist:

1) Knows latest UI behavior of all products;

2) Can perform 1^st line debugging of SW problems;

3) 1^st line support for product SW problems/questions in production

- Coordinate activities within APAC:

1) Single point of contact towards SW development center for maintenance activities

2) Responsible for organizing SW maintenance activities in APAC:

a) factory testing new SW

b) assembly testing new SW (testing in production line)

c) Update production SW tools due to SW changes;

d) Environmental tests of new SW;

e) Share SW maintenance project planning within APAC

- Follow up SW changes for all products due on bug fixing/ change requests

1) Different U/I behavior

2) Different assembly behavior

- Design, deploy and follow up production/process software:

1) Production database management

2) Production SW tooling

3) Configuration management

4) Traceability requirements

Job Specifications

- Academic / Professional Qualification: University graduate or above

- Working Experience: 6-7 years above for software maintenance in production

- Expertise / Skills :

1) Have good understanding of software application and integral business concept

2) Good understanding of PCP process and Change process,

3) Process oriented (cross functional instead of functional),

4) Able to work with standard office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Language skills: Good command Mandarin and English on both writing & speaking (a must)

- Personal Attributes:

1) Aggressive, Outspoken and drive for improvements.

2) Pragmatic hands-on person that can bridge production towards design and vice versa.

Pro-active communicator that can coordinate software release activities between multiple design centers, multiple disciplines and PSS manufacturing in a multi-cultural, multi-language environment (English & Mandarin).
