Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implements engineering and product design projects. Works with the project team to integrate the technical activities that are required in the product design process.

2. Creates schematics, enters schematic data into electronic format, develops bills of materials, researches components for cost, availability, packages and alternative approaches and supports printed circuit board layout activities, as well as other design and development activities.

3. Builds breadboards, various levels of prototype hardware and mockups of new products. Also directs the activities of technicians in the same activities.

4. Conducts specialized and advanced research and development engineering projects that are required to support the program management activities.

5. Attends and participates in team meetings with program teams, suppliers and customers.

6. Supports the program manager in monitoring program timing and cost status.

7. Operates laboratory electronic test equipment including power supplies, signal generators, frequency counters, oscilloscopes and other general lab equipment.

8. Operates environmental test equipment including temperature chambers, UV test equipment, vibration equipment, dust chamber, salt spray equipment and other custom test apparatuses.

9. Works with the program manager or senior engineer to develop design verification and design validation test plans. Executes test plan by performing tests or by directing the activities of an electronic or test technician.

10. Documents test processes and methods. Prepares text of test report that describes test methodology, equipment used and results of the tests performed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering

2. Bi-lingual (English)

3. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

4. Strong computer skills

5. Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

6. Additional skills including: electronic schematic reading, hand soldering, use of hand tools.

7. Capable of operating laboratory electronic test equipment.

8. Ability to work in a team environment.
