职位描述
Responsibilities:
?Creates and develops a strategic global sourcing plan that fosters the highest level of commitment to continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and delivery within the category assigned worldwide, for the Professional Division.
?Lead all business units under professional to create projects, implement, and track these projects with the purpose of continuous cost reduction, supplier performance improvement
? Work as the interface of Pro division with global-level sourcing on procedure, process and strategy definition/implementation, tools implementation. Regularly track all business units under professional division of the fulfillment status
? Lead regular business review meeting with all local (China) strategic supplier at least on quarterly basis to review past-quarter’s performance and push for on-going improvement in term of cost, quality and delivery
?Plans and directs the activities of the supplier so that maximum, measurable results are achieved for all Professional Business Units
?Ensure high spend compliance through preferred suppliers based on category requirements with coordination through the Global Procurement organization.
?Serves as the principal authority and liaison for the company with suppliers on business objectives in line with Global Procurement organization.
?Builds and manages base line spend (history and forecast) date for Professional for their category. Performs operational review of contract performance and spending for categories.
?Develops supplier metrics such as spend/savings Tracker, KPI’s, SLA, etc., monitors and reports on supplier performance criteria.
?Ensures that a quality system is in place at each supplier's manufacturing site. Audits supplier costs, financial performance, and manufacturing and technical capabilities.
?Ensures supplier's operating principles meet the company's requirements and enhance the supplier's costs, financial performance and manufacturing and technical capabilities.
? Directs the negotiations of major contracts involving the assigned commodities.
?Coordinates efforts with engineering and quality personnel in developing supplier’s capabilities to produce critical components. Approves product design changes that require tooling expenditures. Presents selected supplier in management reviews.
?Maintains constant communication with suppliers to make sure there is full understanding of the company's requirements and the supplier's capabilities and to identify process and product improvement opportunities.
? Monitors category trends and conducts market research/benchmarking as needed.
? Support project management team to work on project-level RFQ, develop local sourcing, tools, and negotiate price/term, for required parts for both China project and business units’ project.
? Support project management team to work on cost reduction on project-level product cost, thru competitive bid, BCC transfer, working with engineering for low-cost engineering change. Basic Qualifications:
?Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Materials, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management or a related field, and 7+ years of sourcing and purchasing materials within the category.
? CPSM or CPM Certification preferred.
? Engineering Degree and PMP Certification a plus
? Demonstrated experience in procurement problem solving, negotiating, and contract management.
?Ability to implement sourcing strategies to control the company’s purchased material or service costs and to assure an adequate source of service and supply. Manage supplier’s cost, quality and delivery performance.
?Knowledge and participation in Six Sigma activities, including participation in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other continuous improvement activities.
? Excellent verbal, organization and written communication skills.
? Experience working with process improvement methodologies.
? Proficient in computer use (MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and SAP).
? Ability to work in a metrics-driven, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
?Proactive and aggressive in solving problems, recognizing and taking action on opportunities and developing a team environment to understand and execute company-wide needs in regards to material supply.
? Maintain and promote sound relationships with customers, suppliers and business community
? Ability to handle a variety of projects at the same time.
? Ability to take and handle pressures from both the internal and external in terms of cost, schedule
?Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
? Ability to develop and populate reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
? Six-Sigma training with Green Belt Certification preferred.
?Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and company employees. Ensure communication with business owners is consistent, clear, timely, helpful and productive.
? APICS Certification plus.
