PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS

    

1.      Supporting the Compliance Advisor in the implementation of OUP’s Corporate Compliance Programme in mainland China.

2.      Conducting due diligence on potential business partners and providing compliance training to employees.

3.      Conducting initial reviews and providing administrative support on:

• Requests regarding Gifts and Hospitality, Charitable Giving, Ethical Marketing and Sponsorships
• High Risk Business Activities
• Conflicts of Interest
• High risk role vetting findings  

       And escalate to Compliance Advisor for decision in accordance with approval guidelines.  

4. Compiling monthly, quarterly and annual divisional compliance reporting data requirements including

•  Accept list
•   Key Performance Indicators            

5.      Supporting the Compliance Advisor in carrying out business partner visits with the objective of

• Reminding on the principles in OUP’s Partner Code of Conduct
• Discussing concerns (if any) with the business partner
• Compliance training (if need arises)

6.     Supporting the Compliance Advisor in ensuring that the business completes risk assessment, due diligence and revalidations of all business partners

7.     Responding to day to day queries and providing guidance on compliance related matters raised by local staff, deferring to Compliance Advisor as appropriate 

                       

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

·        University graduate, Masters and other additional professional qualification preferred; fresh graduates with a law degree will be considered

·        Fluency in Mandarin and English

·        Strong understanding of compliance environment, principles of a compliance programme and local practices/culture

·        Experience in conducting due diligence preferred

·        Experience in a compliance programme in a large international organisation preferred

·        Strong communication skills

·        Strong ethical sense and understanding of the business

·       Good project management skills

·        Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel/VBA preferred
