Robarts Spaces is currently looking to fill at least one material pocurement position in our Shanghai office. We are looking for someone who is familiar with the high quality building & interior materials in the market. The person would ideally be an all-a rounder, but with particular strength in terms of sourcing material and with exquisite products generally. This would include the understanding of design, construction, and project processes, an excellent ability to source material, as well as other relevant skills such as negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase order, and maintain an updated material source database. We are ideally looking for someone who has already gained at least 3 years’ experience in interior design field, who is honest, enthusiastic, and skilful. 一工公司意向招聘1位以上材料采购。该职位要求熟知市场上的高品质建筑及室内材料。要求具有一定的全面性，尤其在采购材料和精美产品方面。了解设计、施工以及项目进程，具备一定的采购技巧以及与供应商交涉、管理采购订单、维护和更新材料资源库等能力。我们诚挚地欢迎诚信、热情并且在室内设计行业有3年以上的丰富工作经验者加入。

• Being the point of contact of Robarts Spaces with all material suppliers and vendors.　与所有材料供应商交涉衔接，并服务于公司项目。

• Managing the internal material source library, electronic data-base, and product catalogs. 管理内部材料资源库、电子数据库以及产品目录。
• Knowing material characteristics including its stability, durability, and sustainability and range of applications. 了解材料的特性，包括稳定性、耐久性、可持续性和应用范围。
• Being deeply knowledgeable of a wide variety of material sources and understanding the costing, availability, and lead time。对各式样的材料有广泛的了解，包括其成本，适用性以及交货时间。
• Organizing presentations by suppliers to ensure designers are familiar with material available in the market. 组织供应商演讲活动，以确保设计师了解市场上可选用的材料。
• Working with the design team to source material based on designer’s brief, visuals, and specifications. 协作设计团队，根据设计师的简述、视觉效果以及规格选购材料。
• Managing the purchase order, contracts, and accounts. 管理采购订单、合同以及账目。
• Working closely with the design team and construction team as the Liaison with all material suppliers throughout projects through thorough communication and to overseeing the delivery process. 与设计团队和施工团队紧密合作，及时有效地与项目的材料供应商沟通并监督交付过程。
• Inspecting the quality of delivered material on site and make sure it meets our standards. 检查现场交付材料的质量，确保其符合我们的标准。
• Effectively applying our methodology and enforcing Robarts Spaces standards, and minimizing our exposure to risk on project, making sure material meets government regulation and green policy. 有效地运用我们的方式且执行公司的相关标准，避免在项目上的疏漏和风险，确保所使用的材料符合政府规章制度以及环保政策。
• Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and filed appropriately. 确保项目文件的完整、时效和归档。

　　Background in architecture/interior design is preferred but not essential.

Studio Illumine is an international team of lighting designers with a passion for light, architecture, product design and art. The design practice is officially founded in 2011 and based in Shanghai. Its team members are of varied design backgrounds
and their independent and professional status ensures that it’s lighting service is unaffiliated with any manufacturers.
Studio Illumine believes that lighting is a vital element of good design. As such, it needs to be considered in parallel with other design processes from the very beginning. Good lighting is developed through an understanding of the latest technology available, lighting codes, sustainability and a sense of the built environment. It is about creating ambience through light and shade. Functional yet beautiful lighting schemes result in meaningful light.
