Key Responsibilities

Summary:
Take lead for the introduction of new product and early technical support for process and product, including process qualification, design for manufacturing, quality, testing, packaging, and design for sourcing, provide technical evaluation of suppliers, bills of material, packaging and compliance requirements

Responsibility:
Coordinate the cross function team to assist with build, debug, training and installation of new equipment/Process to support defined production goals and requirements
Oversee the manufacture and test of prototypes for customer evaluation of new products to support customer specifications, operations and technical marketing requirements
Provide input for re-design product options, manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes which improve product yield, cycle time or other key metrics and get financial return as a result
Defines and establishes solutions and works with R&D and Materials as required to implement solution in product design phase
Ensure Engineering evaluates, enhances and maintains existing products. Design of Experiment methodology followed in building models of components, assemblies, and products to verify design and associated manufacturing processes in specific area of responsibility.
Assist with production department to set up production line and manufacturing processes for NPI and solves the technical issue. Work with Sourcing department on localization projects. Take lead on NPI as needed
Participates on the Product Development team with responsibility for the required elements of the manufacturing plans, process information and associated cost data analysis. Advise R&D on applications of special processes
Jointlyestablishes manufacturing processes to ensure successful introduction of new products and support the manufacturing engineers to generate, review and update the procedures, instructions or other documents in accordance with quality system requirements.
Reviews manufacturing investments for technical feasibility, process fit, and cost/effectiveness, and makes recommendations for solutions or alternatives

Requirements:

A degree in electrical/electronics engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or similar field is required; graduate degree is preferred
Proficient oral and written English and Chinese communication skills
At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years in NPI
Experience with high volume manufacturing or new product introduction. Direct experience in launching products required
Working knowledge of Quality Systems
Familiarity with injection molding, understanding of electrical and mechanical control for automated manufacturing equipment, linear and rotational mechanisms, pneumatics and industry compliant safety devices is desired. Understanding of tooling, jigs and fixtures design
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables
Fluent in MS office and CAD
