PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing a wide range of support to more senior members of the project team. As assigned, will manage basic projects. Communicate on a daily basis the status of projects and coordinate activities with Project Managers, Sales, Account Managers, customers and other functional teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Following existing methodologies, performs assigned tasks related to the successful completion of projects. Ensures that all related data is accurate and completed according to schedule.
Coordinates day-to-day communication among different functional teams to keep project moving forward as requested by project management team. May be asked to gather project data and documentation as well as following up on responses with internal and external parties as needed.
Responsible to regularly update project progress by using available tools; for example: JIRA
Arranges and manages work outsourced to service providers including translation agencies, designers and outside quality testing laboratories.
Runs reports to track status of projects and notifies team of any project complications.
May be required to provide analysis on products, review data or assist in the completion of invoicing.
Responsible for good and easy tracing record for all different types of documents within the Project Management team
Responsible for maintaining good filing system for both actual products and samples
Responsible for coordinating global project implementation with cross-functional teams and different offices
Accountable for the completion of the First Article approval process
Responsible for project kick-off and hand-off meetings to all cross-functional teams
Responsible for the application of pricing update in system on timely basis
Responsible for providing the GMA and quote sheet if necessary
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SCOPE
The successful incumbent works under general supervision and will need to work closely with cross-functional teams to efficiently manage available resources and meet project timelines and deliverables. Projects assigned are typically the most basic to moderate levels of complexity with some variation. Extensive communications with internal and external contacts occur on a regular basis. Functions as a gatekeeper ensuring compliance and necessary escalation to the right party for exception approval is happening.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Bachelor's degree in business (or equivalent) with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Proven ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports, carry out assigned projects to their completion, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management.
Skill in researching complex issues and developing recommended actions.
Intermediate to advanced math skills
Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate both in writing and speaking. Well versed in English and Mandarin with strong communication and presentation skills.
A background in customer service is required.
Demonstrated positive attitude, self-motivated, team player.
Must be able to multi task and possess the ability to manage workload in a fast paced environment with competing demands and shifting priorities.
Must possess critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Must possess excellent PC knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Some local travel required.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:
Cantonese speaking is preferable.
Packaging and/or Printing industry experience a plus
