职位描述

  1. Management - Recruit, train, motivate and manage a team of account executives so that individual and team performance meets and exceeds expectations
  2. Budget - Prepare and monitor an annual budget for account management staff overheads for the territory so that costs are agreed and adhered to
  3. Training - To implement a training plan and carry out feedback meetings as part of department training objectives
  4. Promotion – Promote all Academic Print titles, Journals and Online resources to institutions in order to maximise interest in territory
  5. Strategy - Develop and implement a pre and post contract strategy across territories, markets, and resources in order to maximise interest in Academic content in territory, including business model development and implementation
  6. Key Account Management – develop and implement account specific strategies across Consortia and Key Accounts in China for Products to deliver strong annual growth and compliment China team activity
  7. Networking and relationship building – Build and nurture relationships with senior staff (e.g. Library Directors, Key Customer Sales Directors and Heads of Schools) as well as senior level administration staff responsible for departmental or institutional wide purchasing decisions
  8. Communication – Establish and maintain regular communication with UK-based Academic teams and departments, as well as other Regional Account Managers across Asia, in order to work knowledgeably and efficiently
  9. Market Research – Research and explore potential for new business opportunities in order to identify areas of focus for promotion activity, including attendance at relevant conferences, exhibitions and Roadshows
  10. Industry knowledge - Maintain a demonstrably thorough knowledge of the electronic information publishing industry, its products, markets and trends and OUP’s position in it, to help maintain our competitive advantage.  Likewise, maintain a comprehensive knowledge of OUP’s electronic product offering as it develops

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE


·        A minimum of 3 to 5 years marketing and management experience, preferably in the education sector or similar long cycle industry

 ·        Demonstrable consultative marketing skills 

 ·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 ·        Educated to degree level or equivalent

 ·        Experience of working with Salesforce.com to create, build and manage pipeline 

 ·        Excellent organisational abilities

 ·        An understanding and appreciation of higher education – the environment, structure and key challenges within the sector

 ·        Ability to effectively manage a high volume, complex workload through prioritisation of tasks in line with departmental objectives
