• Reporting to Head of Financial Institutions Group China/ Hong Kong (FIG CN/ HK), the person is responsible for below mandate.  He will be based in Shanghai, China:
• Supporting Head of FIG CN/HK to deepen and expand China/ Hong Kong inbound and outbound (to UOB key franchise countries) client-driven business.
• Formulating and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures for China and Hong Kong FIG business under the guidance of Head of FIG CN/ HK
• Preparing  adhoc management presentation material, timely and accurate reporting material (eg financial) for internal or external purpose
• Overseeing daily operations of FIG department in China and Hong Kong from business processes, assurance, operational perspective to ensure smooth running of the departments adhering to the bank’s internal policy and applicable external requirements (laws, regulations, audit, etc).
• Assisting Head of FIG CN/HK to optimize credit limit utilization for clients across products and jurisdictions to comply with various internal/external trigger/limit while maximizing revenue;
• Liaising with internal stakeholders from UOB China, UOB Hong Kong and UOB group to adopt best practices and spearhead improved processes and controls.
• As representative of FIG CN/ HK for adhoc local or group projects as per delegation by Head of FIG CN/ HK.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor degree with at least 8-10 years’ banking experience preferably in front office or COO office.
• Proven track record of effective project management experience in a complex enterprise
• Outstanding verbal and written skills and experience working with staff on all levels
• Open-minded and not afraid to challenge status quo with strong negotiation skill
