Overall Purpose of Role: how the role adds value to the department and to eBay

• Drive country revenue by helping departments with analysis and a better understanding of their business model

• Support Managers with regular business reporting, analysis and problem solving

Core Responsibilities: key regular activities of the job

- Support Management business decisions with complex data retrieval & analysis

• Develop & deliver regular and ad-hoc business performance measurement / reporting

• Help managers identify key seller & buyer drivers/barriers. Support strategy and operating plan development via user, economics analysis, industry dynamics, and competitive analysis

• Support the effective implementation of business initiatives, coordinating with relevant resources in finance, category management, marketing, product development, and customer support to provide metrics, eBay/industry/economics business knowledge and analysis

Experience, Qualifications & Personal Characteristics required:

• Affinity for financial & quantitative analysis, including statistics

• Top-tier graduate with strong academic record. MBA preferred.

• 2-3 years experience in a role involving analyzing large sets of data (eCommerce/Financial Services/Retail/Consulting)

• Strong abstract thinking & problem solving skills

• Understanding of or affinity for presentation and business analytics tools: Spreadsheet modeling, Database software (e.g. SQL, Business Objects), SAS, Powerpoint

• Personal fit: high energy, sense of humour, friendly/outgoing, team player
