Critical Job Elements :

This is an chassis supplier project management role within radisys' supply chain organization. The role will principally include proactive management in the development and manufacturable deployment of chassis product developed between radisys and its' chassis partners. The program manager will provide principal point-of-contact between radiSys R&D Teams, the chassis supplier and all Operations functions across all geographies. The incumbent will be a qualified, authorized and accountable representative of radisys Supply Chain Operations on PRP PDT Teams to ensure chassis meet the agreed-to and approved requirements of agreed upon and documented technical specifications, chassis cost, schedule, quality, and delivery for assigned products through the period of prototype, EAU, manufacturing Pilot and Production Release. The job site location will be within radisys Shenzhen with as-needed travel to radisys' chassis suppliers and global EMS partner locations in Penang, Malaysia. Additional domestic and international travel as needed to support programs is required.



The position responsibilities also include:



- Participate on select PRP Teams in the capacity of PDT Team member

- Ownership and full accountability for the tactical execution and project/program management support activities required to drive the chassis to meet/exceed schedule, under control, with appropriate risk taking and communication to affected internal customers

- Insure new product introduction chassis targeted for transition achieve product quality goals

- Creation and monitoring of project Operations Risk Assessment Plans, including current and anticipated risks across all disciplines of the project but with particular attention to Operations, Quality and Reliability (Q&R) requirements, analysis and mitigation planning, cost assignment to both risk and mitigation and concise and timely communication of same to affected parties

- Validation and enforcement of chassis Project Plans, containing minimally a project overview, operational strategy, deliverables listing and definition, customer dynamic, risk assessment and mitigation options, resource requirements, supply chain establishment and ongoing validation and risk review

- Review and approval of the chassis schedule modules of Engineering provided product Project Schedules, detailing the complete project schedule from start-to-finish, milestone definition, predecessor-successor dependencies, resource assignment and skill assessment, critical path identification, progress gates and similar project management milestones

- Facilitate and lead cross-functional chassis meetings between engineering and the chassis supplier.

- Travel to domestic and international sites to support assigned chassis as necessary and professionally represent the Company and Supply Chain Operations



Qualifications:

- Mechanical Engineering degree/background

- Excellent communication skills particularly English, verbal and written, with ability to facilitate on-line, remote site meetings.

- Works effectively in multicultural settings and with individuals at all levels within the organization. Strong ability to collaborate with others in

geographically separate physical locations to set and meet objectives

- Program management experience. Proficiency in the use of project management tools (i.e. MS Project), GANTT chart models,

predecessor/successor analysis, work breakdown structure etc.

- Commodity management and international experience preferably working with suppliers in China, Europe and the middle east

- Demonstrated ability to work well in matrixed or cross-functional environment

- Self-starter that works well with minimal supervision and is able to make informed decisions on own

- Must be able to travel internationally (with no limitations...eg, travel to Israel, China, Malaysia, U.S., etc)

- Knowledgeable of processes related to electronics and specifically chassis industry...eg.,chassis assembly, system integration, NPI, ECO and

change control management; sheet metal fab and PCBs knowledge a plus.

- Working understanding of Six Sigma (or equivalent) concepts and methodologies, and commitment to utilize and implement as appropriate

- Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills
