Critical Job Elements:

The senior system testing engineer will be a key member of Radisys Level 4 Team in engineering working in the support of Radisys ATCA platform & CPCI platform products. The principal engineer will work in all aspects of the product support and providing input to Radisys new design. This includes providing technical support to the customers and troubleshooting issues on products currently being manufactured. Some project management will be required for more extensive product design modifications. Good communication skills are required for coordinating within multiple functions inside and outside Radisys.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
• At least 5+ years experience of with detailed system testing architecture, test program/test fixture design and development, debug and test of high speed digital and analog system with commercial applications in the telecommunications or data communications industries.
• Experience with DDR, PCI-Express, Gigabit Ethernet, 10GbE, and other high speed communication protocols and testing.
• Experience of developing high-speed signal and packet switch and DSP media platform performance test.
• Experience of developing system and component level stimulation test.
• Expert of software scripting languages to automate system level test.
• Expert of one of the following: SNMP, IPMI, RMCP testing.
• Expert of Linux, real time Linux, and VxWorks or other embedded systems.
• Familiarity with some of the following: Compact PCI card and chassis design for the telecom industry, 10/100/1000/10G/40G Ethernet, SPARC, Intel Xeon, PowerPC and MIPS family Processors on PCI and compact PCI systems, and high availability systems concepts.
• Familiarity with ATCA, IPMI, AMC standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication (written and Verbal) in English as well as Chinese, energetic and task oriented, ability to work equally well in both team-oriented and self-directed environment.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will join sustaining team in the engineering group:

• Perform system testing support and sustaining activities for released Radisys ATCA & CPCI platform products.
• Provide trouble shooting to field reported software defects and manufacturing issues and utilize innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• Perform documentation activities, including test plan, test report, solution validation, reviews of designs and tests.
• Provide input to development activities for new products or upgrades to existing products.
• Develop product verification tools and procedures for use in the sustaining team.
