Job Purpose: Perform sourcing activities on high end packaging and execute projects:

~ Conduct supplier capability assessment on cost, technical, production, quality and supply chain

~ Conduct RFQ based on GBUs' inputs

~ Develop and manage supplier relationships

~ Study suppliers' cost structure; drive productivity plan and establish risk mitigation plan

~ Study local industry landscape and provide market intelligence

~ Project management on new or transfer product development at suppliers

~ Identify appropriate engineering standards according to product category

~ Capable to assess common manufacturing processes

~ Liaise with GBU R&D / Marketing / Packaging teams and/or GSA Supplier Quality team to determine appropriate test requirements & methodologies

~ Closely monitor tooling development milestones and ensure timely completion in required quality

~ Work with GBU R&D / Marketing / Packaging teams on product approval and resolve technical problems

~ Support packaging projects of other GBUs if necessary (no more 20% of the total workload)

~ Identify suppliers on assigned product categories in terms of cost, quality, capacity, engineering and production capabilities

~ Successful execution of product development at supplier and secure market launch

~ Drive productivity through negotiation, market/material trend information, OPEX and VA/VE



Qualifications:

§ Must have >3 years'experience in packaging development and/or manufacturing, and familiar with packaging materials and manufacturing processes, esp. for various wrapped gift boxes, paper boxes, wooden boxes, etc.

§ >3 years' experienced in project management, and/or purchasing

§ Engineering Degree or equivalent
