BU Description
CDL GTS Offerings Development is the core development team within IBM globally, focusing on Cloud offerings, such as IBM Smart Cloud Enterprise, IBM Smart Cloud Enterprise plus,IBM Smart Business Desktop Cloud, Self-Enablement Portal, Management Service Desk, etc, which covers IaaS, PaaS and SaaS in cloud. These cloud offerings are IBM strategic Cloud offerings, which are based on IBM leading products of WebSphere, Tivoli, Information Management and Rational, with leveraging latest technologies on SOA, Web2.0, Business Analytics. CDL team is responsible for the offerings project management, architecture, development, quality assurance, maintenance and technical support, and most of the leaders are taking global leadership positions now.
Job Responsibilities
The person is expected to take the global test manager position for SmartCloud Enterprise(SCE), who will lead global test team across China, US, India and East Europe, and will closely with requirement, architect, development and delivery team.
Lead and manage SCE test team with high quality and on schedule.
Foster a high performance culture, grow and mature the SCE team, which support creativity and diversity of thoughts, build core technical competency, and deliver high-quality products efficiently through driving best practices and continuous improvements in software engineering excellence.
Work closely with global development management team and build trust relationship across geographies with more initiatives, expanding the working scope, and deepening the development expertises.
Collaborate with local or global field team and clients to support business success globally
Administrative responsibilities include resource allocations, staffing, mentoring, providing performance feedback, managing budget, and etc.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences)
Exceptional leadership and team building skills, staffing, growing outstanding talents, and building strong high performance test teams.
Experienced on working on a globally distributed engineer team and experience on building and working with teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Strong strategic thinking and software development & test management experience focused on delivering highly quality enterprise software on time and on budget.
Demonstrated passion for customer, developer, and business partner satisfaction. Ability to drive the collaboration with clients and cross IBM organizations.
Strong decision making, tough problem solving, and project management skills to organize multiple projects executing concurrently.
Excellent communication skills, Chinese and English (verbal and written)
Pro-active, self-motivated leader with great communication, ownership and teamwork spirit..
Solid experience with functional test, system test and performance test for large scale systems.
Familiar with tools for test management & reporting, defect tracking, performance benchmark & tuning.
Familiar with IBM SWG products is a plus.
Qualifications(Education/Major/Certificates)
6 years or above experiences on IT industry
2 years or above management experiences on software R&D related projects
M.S. or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering.
MBA or Project Management Certification is a plus
