Job description
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the client's overall market risk and financial market engagement and project delivery activities
Develop and build core market risk and financial market management solutions, assets to enhance R&C market risk/financial market consulting capabilities
Be experienced in building rapport with clients, establishing a trustworthy relationship
Experienced in drafting RFPs, RFIs and project proposals for market risk/financial market projects.
Had project management experience and as a key SME (subject matter expert) delivery team leader in project delivery
Had prior experience and knowledge with key market risk/financial market vendors and their implementation methodology
To be able to leverage available IBM resources and liaison with other IBM credit risk initiatives and solutions
Represent IBM at high level conferences and workshops in market risk/financial market risk related areas.
A fast learner, with positive attitude and a team player
Qualifications (education, seniority, professional experiences, etc.):
Above 5 years proven experience in commercial bank, investment bank or leading consulting companies on Market risk/Financial market and Basel II/Basel III areas
Very strong in market risk/Financial market risk management knowledge and practical management experience, especially in one or more of the following areas:
Financial instruments modelling, pricing and model validation (including plain vanilla products as well as complex and structured products, e.g., fixed/floating rate bonds, swaps, swaptions, caps/floors, FX, ABS/MBS.CDS/CDO, commodities, wealth management products with China characteristics)
Financial market front-/middle-/back-office STP; related business processes, trading systems, etc
Risk based P/L, backtesting, stress testing, hedging and portfolio management
Asset management in a trust, asset management company, banking book and trading book environment, including funds performance, selection criteria and benchmarks, etc
Portfolio management, dynamic hedging, transaction and portfolio based RAROC
CCR, ISDA netting, collateral haircuts, etc
Regulatory capital (VaR, SVAR) on trading book and banking portfolios, Economic capital, RAROC and capital allocation, risk limits hierarchy and implementation practice
Basel II/Basel III requirements (organization, policies & processes, analytics, reporting etc), including liquidity risk management and dynamic ALM management
Integrated risk management reporting and risk indicator based management framework
Excellent knowledge of Market Risk/Financial Market business processes, policies, limits hierarchy, risk review to risk reporting, monitoring, risk policy, risk governance, etc
Very Good knowledge of the functionalities and implementation experiences on key Market Risk/Financial Market product vendors, such as Sunguard, Algorithmics, Summit, Reuters, Murex, Calypso, RiskMetrics, etc
Preferably with a masters degree in Market Risk/Financial Market risk management related fields with good quantitative/IT skills. CFA or PRMIA or GARP qualification also desirable.
Prior working experiences in international and domestic financial institutions are highly required
Willing to travel to fulfill business needs
Other Competencies:
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good written and verbal English and Mandarin language skills
Good understanding of risk database warehousing and experience with credit risk software integration.
Desirable but not a prerequisite: Software skills ,C, C++, VB, Matlab, SPSS, or other statistical packages plus application software integration knowledge such as SAS, Algo, Credit manager, Kamakura
