Job Function Extensive verilog RTL experience including design, verification, synthesis, and debugging.

Proficiency of Xilinx FPGA prototyping.

Solid hands-on experience of using different lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, etc.

Expertise on silicon implementation related design issues.

Cooperate with system team to debug on prototype silicon chips to find the root cause and solution.

Fluency in English reading and writing.

Communication skills for cross-group/BU design and implementation.

IEEE 802.3 or previous Ethernet product development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The candidate will join a team of algorithm design and FPGA prototyping involved in the development/implementation of advanced digital signal processing algorithm for the physical layer of high speed wired and/or optical data communication IC.

Responsibility:

Design and develop PAM/QAM single/Multi-carrier transceivers, multi-input adaptive equalizers/echo cancellers, multi-dimentional trellis encoder/decoder, timing recovery, digital filters, interface with analog blocks and MAC/switch blocks.

Design and simulate verilog RTL code using synopsys and cadence EDA tools.

Communicate with and help downstream teams on Silicon implementation including documentation, integration, clock scheme, timing closure, DFT, etc.

Prototype, debug and verify RTL code on Xilinx multi-FPGA platform.

Debug on prototype silicon chips to find the root cause and solution.

Perform coding, synthesis, timing closure, placement and route on FPGA.

Skills/Experience 3 to 5 years of experience with design and development of digital communication ICs

Education Requirements Ph.D or master degrees major in digital communications or electronics engineering.
