Job description

IBM has strategic investments in cloud computing including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) products and solutions.
The IBM CSTL Cloud team is responsible for IBM infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) Cloud strategy and architecture design, as well as the Smart Cloud Entry (also called Starter Kit for Cloud) product development and test with the most advanced technologies. We are also collaborating with IBM World Wide Emerging Solution Lab on future Cloud trends and technologies, such as OpenStack and Trusted Cloud. Besides, we provide strong technical support to IBM sales and service teams on designing and implementing IaaS Cloud solutions for large enterprises in China and worldwide. We are building up a Cloud ecosystem on top of IBM Smart Cloud Entry by working closely with dozens of IBM business partners and ISVs.

Job Requirements (skills/experiences) for Developer:
- Proficient programming skills in Java; Familiar with Python, Dojo, JSON and AJAX is a big plus.
- Good knowledge and experiences in OOA and OOD.
- Familiar with OSGi, REST, multi-thread programming, high-concurrency environment, design patterns
- Having skills and experiences in following technologies is a big plus:
Virtualization (KVM, PowerVM, VMware, etc.), Storage (Volume Manager, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SVC, etc), IBM Power Systems, Unix, Linux, Database, IBM Systems Director and VMControl, Tivoli (TSAM/TPM/TPC), distributed system, NoSQL DB (Cassandra, HBase, Riak, etc.), Distributed synchronization (Zookeeper, etc.), large scale enterprise system, SOA, web service, network management, monitoring system
- Good experience on Agile software development
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and excellent team player
- Fluent in the English language (both written and spoken)
- Familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Having strong sense of ownership and high accountability
- Pro-active, self-motivated team player with great communication, ownership and teamwork spirit.
Other requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
