Purpose of Role
- Support Technical Marketing Department in Asia Region (China/NEA) to create maximum value for PP product and achieve innovative and sustainable growth
- Assist to realizing strategic direction of Technical Marketing group in the region to support USD & RMB business.
- Execute technical support activities in the region to increase company's market share & to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Product Development / Improvement activities:
* Contribute to the development of new products and modifications to existing products to achieve the company's business objectives
* Support Application and Product Development Projects to suit the regional needs
* Translate / implement technical related parts of TM Department strategies towards Asia market, by:
1) suggesting required product portfolio changes
2) proposing new business development
3) promoting new grades
- Technical Support / Service / Trouble Shooting activities:
* execute technical customer relationships by:
1) providing optimum customer (technical) services
2) studying value creation opportunities with current / future product portfolio
3) conducting market analyses (competitors, products, applications, prospects) and value chain analyses
4) conducting market analyses in T&I projects (product developments, product phase outs, product cost price reductions)
* Deliver technical seminar/training to external customers and Polymer Sales teams according to customer training program.
* Build Customer Loyalty by effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
- Education & Training
* Bachelor Degree (Polymer Science & Technology, Chem. Eng., Science)
*Academic level (polymer, chemistry, mechanical & chemical engineering)
- Experiences
* Minimum 1 year polymer experience in the field of technical services, R&D, manufacturing, processing or sales/marketing
* Polymer chemistry and processing
* Excellent English; any additional language preferred
* BIM (Basic Industrial Marketing) or AIM (Advanced Industrial Marketing)
* Project Management
* Strong analytical and conceptual powers
* Good communication skills
* Multicultural flexibility and international mindset of building on diversity
* Good track record of execution and delivery of results
- Competencies
* Basic understanding of key business and financial processes
* Team builder (building successful diversity teams & relations)
* Ability to energize others and take decisions based on limited information.
* Develop and empower people
* Broad multi-disciplinary sphere of action
* Balance of short dated technical support issues and long term marketing related issues
