Manufacturing Engineering Manager


Directly Report to : General Manager


Summary: The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for Planning, organizing, and directing and controlling the technical manufacturing efforts and resources as necessary to assure a smooth, efficient and profitable manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving improvements in all related manufacturing processes too.


Duties and Responsibilities


Supervises the development, design, and manufacturing of assembly processes, tools and machines that will effectively and efficiently manufacture the company's products.
Manage all aspects of manufacturing process development, assembly and test process, tool design and equipments and its' calibration.
Plan and coordinate the introduction of new products into production, including any necessary shop support for engineering R & D proto type or test equipment.
Manage the research, justification and implementation of new methods and equipment processes for the manufacture and production of company product.
Manage the investigation, selection, justification and appropriation of capital equipment for operations.
Responsible for analyzing manufacturing problems, determining the cause, and developing cost-effective solutions.
Monitors capacity of manufacturing processes and makes recommendations to the organization when action is required.
Responsible for the construction or alteration of facilities, including the establishment of estimated costs and schedules.
Optimize material/product manufacturing process flow on shop floor to minimize total product cycle times.
Collaborate with peers to determine key goals and objectives, and corresponding metrics, to be completed during a determined period. Review and amend these actions as appropriate. Focus on the timely achievement of these goals and objectives.

Qualifications


· University or above

· Engineering (Mechanical , Electrical or Electronics)background

· At least 10 years experience in the electronics manufacturing field required.

· Experience at leading technical personnel, staffing, reviews and goal setting.

· Mature, Stable, Easy Going, energetic, be able to influences others


Knowledge and Skills


Demonstrate time management & leadership skills.
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Thorough understanding of the quality management system.
Experience with World Class Manufacturing processes and methods, Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, TPM and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Mentor others in new processes and procedures.
Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality.
Knowledge of a variety of production equipment, conventional as well as computer controlled.
Ability to work cross-functionally

Specialized Skills


Good knowledge base of engineering theories (in different specialties)
Advanced analytical, technical, and statistical skills
Strong understanding of engineering theory; related to designated engineering field ability to apply knowledge to assigned tasks
Project management experience
