职位描述
Responsibilty:
1. Taking reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work.
2. Observing the aims and objectives of the Company Environmental policy
3. Co-operating with the Company or other persons as far as necessary to enable the Company or other persons to comply with their statutory and legal duties and ensuring a high ethical standard of conduct in all business dealings.
4.Identifying their training/skills needs, as well as that of their subordinates, in relation to their job and bringing these to the attention of their line manager.
5. Representing the Company in a professional manner at all times while carrying out any reasonable duties that may be required by the company from time to time.
Job Role:
I. To evaluate all new projects from customers and identify the correct product from within the company product line-up to suit the customer needs (electrical requirements, mechanical requirements, and cost considerations).
II. Where necessary, to lead the development of a new product, either based on existing solutions or new solutions/technology.
III. To become proficient in the new PWM IC technology to the level of designing products based on this new technology/IC/topology.
IV. Where appropriate recognise new development technologies or areas that should be added to our portfolio and to discuss introduction requirements.
V. Help on marketing applications' information to keep sales team abreast of new market opportunities including any factory new developments.
This is a demanding role requiring extensive technical know-how, and an assertive, self-motivating individual. Outstanding project management, communications, and presentation skills are essential as a significant part of the role is communicating with customer engineers and managers, as well as team-working within NetBit.
The main purpose of the role is to:
? To insure that we have the right solutions and products to win the projects.
? Work with the customer's engineering team to understand their requirements and offer the correct solution to win the business.
? Work with our sales team to develop and communicate quality proposals that comprehensively project our product proposition and are based on a thorough understanding of the prospects situation and issues.
? Formally and frequently feedback market intelligence that assists strategic and capability planning.
Duties:
? Review and understand the current product line-up.
? Identify the key strengths and weaknesses of the current line-up.
? Suggest newer and better products and solutions to ensure a complete and comprehensive product line-up is available for the sales team to effectively offer solutions to our target customers and markets.
? Ensure that our products are continuously updated according to the evolving market demands and regulatory requirements.
? Work with the factory engineering team on new products.
? Ensure that new products are developed on time and meet the customer requirements.
? Become proficient in the new IC technology to enable you to design products based on this technology.
? Help research any new technology and/or specific market requirements as and when required.
? In addition to that above, build and transfer knowledge of the products and technologies available in the market, including competitor's products.
? Provide manning for any exhibitions or seminars that the company shall participate in, including recommendations of any we should participate in.
? Manage the planning and preparation of prospect visits as well as host the visit.
? Monthly report must monitor live RFQs, reporting and improving the number of conversions, average value, average contribution in first year and over project life.
? It is expected that customer visits will become a part of job requirement with the need for compiling and presenting technical and marketing information. (Note for Mike: visits will normally be led by sales person)
? Produce detailed visit reports, which include comprehensive actions, with-in 48 hours of any visit to or from NetBit/Kuantec.
? Follow company procedures, or formally amend if justified and minimize the cost of performing your duties by careful control of spend and use of business tools.
? Perform any other duties as may be required by the company from time to time.
