Primary Responsibilities:

? Leads the research and implementation process of new technical product designs. Mediums include, glass, metal, resin, wood, fabric and more.
? Collaborate in cross-functional innovation and product development processes with Design, Domestic and Overseas Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams, throughout the entire process from ideation, concept, sourcing, introduction, quality control and launch.
? Focus product development on new and innovative products that provide smart solutions to the end consumer, while providing a point of differentiation in the marketplace for Arden, Bombay and our retail partners.
? Oversee the development, execution and operational sequencing of products from concept to customer, meeting all "Go-To-Market" milestones while meeting profitability, customer service, speed-to-market, quality and compliance requirements.
? Product champion in the category through industry and marketplace research, competitive analysis, consumer research as it pertains to materials, standards and structural feasibility.
? Manage work load within aggressive calendar deadlines for critical approvals.
? Creation of prototypes, manufacturing specification drawings and golden samples.
? Testing of material design/limitations.
? Write and establish reliability testing protocols for Bombay product.
? Work closely with Global BV testing (quality assurance)
? Collaborate with Design/Sourcing teams to provide detailed direction for all product materials.
? Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to assist, from an engineering perspective, with the execution of the Bombay product vision and strategy. Partner on product line innovations including analysis of account specific assortments and develop ideas for major retailers and participate in major presentations to support the category growth strategy.



Professional Qualifications

? Bachelor Degree required, Preferred disciplines include Materials, Design, Product Design/Development, Industrial Engineering
? Quality focused engineering experience focused on product development
? Ability to Design for Quality/Manufacturing Experience
? Materials knowledge preferred areas include: metals, resin, wood, glass, fabric and more.
? Tech savvy, experience with design and drafting software a plus
? Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to both internal and external audiences.
? Well versed in Microsoft Office products, specifically Power Point and Excel
? Bilingual, Mandarin Chinese and English
? Must be willing to travel, roughly 50%.
