Participate as a member of an R&D team, be responsible for supporting sustaining projects and productivity projects execution and following up new product development. Work closely with project engineer, firmware engineer and contract manufacturer to ensure projects meet established timeline, cost target in an efficiency way

Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in using Orcad (or similar) for schematic design
- Guide PCB layout and conduct design review with internal and outsourced development effort.
- New components spec review and electrical characteristic validation.
- Follow up and drive contract manufacturer to build up prototype samples.
- Cooperate with firmware engineer to debug hardware design, run functional test and validation
- Troubleshoot and analyze problem and recommend solutions in an effective manner.
- Prepare and organize documentations and release ECN.
- Work closely with multi functional departments and group to ensure project meet the cost target and timeline.
- Improvement of production line yields and trouble shooting at suppliers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- More than 5 years hands on experience in consumer electronics industry
- Self-motivated and good team work spirit
- Solid fundamental of analog digital and power circuit design.
- Familiar with electronics product safety and EMC regulation, certification and test methods.
- Good knowledge of embedded system and various MCU platform.
- Familiar with interface like SPI, I2C, USB ect.
- Requires a good understanding of test requirements for Electrical components and manufacturing
- Electronic trouble-shooting skills are a must
- Requires a strong functional understanding of general test equipment
- Experience with: Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, and more
- Knowledge of OrCAD/Protel/Altium
- Basic Soldering/Re-work skills
- PC knowledge (including MS Excel and MS Word)
- Must be detail-oriented and should possess good inter-personal skills to be able to interact with various engineering departments
- RF Experience is a plus
- Quick learner and able to take direction
