Job Summary – An experienced professional with hand-on experience in Mold Assemby, Mold maintenance, Hot-runner systems, Tool Trials and trouble-shooting. Manage day-to-day operations of the tool assembly section. Conduct Tool maintenance program for preventive, predictive maintenance. Support break-down maintenance through quick response teams. Enhance MTBF, reduce MTTR and conduct improvement programs on resolution of chronic issues. Feedback to Design and Manufacturing teams for continual improvement. Knowledge of mold polishing and mold welding technology.

1. > Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Engineers and Tool-makers to achieve production targets            
• Plan & execute Tool preventive, predictive maintenance & Mold polishing adhering to the production schedules.                                   
• Effective accountability & management of MTTR, MTBF & establishing the corrective measure. Conduct reviews within team to achieve daily production targets
• Identification of potential tool spare & managing the inventory between minimum and maximum level.
• Expertise in implementing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in cost of spares within budget.
• Management of tool room activities as per IATF 16949, establishing safety standards, timely review & updation of department documents as per standard.
• Should have exposure to implement WCM practices, Lean manufacturing, SGA, TPM, Continual improvements.
• Participation in Design review to ensure that the molds meet customer specification and meet North American tool standards.
• Participation in New mold trials, suggestion, correction & effective implementation in order to smoothen the production right from inception.
• Ability to train all teach in machining and tool maintenance principles
• Ability to manage new technology to improve tool room efficiency.

Position Requirements:

• A Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Tool Engineering with 10-15 years of experience in managing operations in Tool manufacturing with high level of proficiency in CAM Programming, CNC Milling, EDM and Wire EDM processes.
• Should possess Excellent People Management and Communication Skills
• Knowledgeable in various machining and Heat-Treatment processes
• Adept at working on CAD/CAM platforms in day-to-day use
• Conversant with MS-Office tools
• Ability to make presentations and reports to management as required
• Able to travel overseas
