Role & Job overview
· Develop and execute crop segment & product strategy and tactics to meet the business and financial target
· Develop branding strategy for brand management and lead new product lunch
· Portfolio management and product mapping into major crop segment and responsible for developing portfolio promotion strategies to generate field demand in the China
· Assist Marketing manager on communication and marketing strategy, develop marketing plan implementation & transfer marketing plan during meetings, trainings, and field trips to sales team and distributors
Job Description
· Ensure the marketing plan implementation in season with functional efforts of commercial and technical unit
· Manage day to day business issues in coordination with the other functions
· Execute Dragon projects with other APG unit such as support other commercial projects aligned with portfolio strategy
· Communicate product marketing plan to APG stakeholders and gain consensus and support
· Monitoring the strategy implementation in season
· Manage business issues for the product including Forecasting, Supply and Inventory management
· Develop and lead the implementation of market communication/promotion plan for responsible portfolio to create field demand within budget and work with communication manager
· Monitoring the promotion campaigns of key competitors to leverage the best practice
· Evaluate the quality of field promotions and propose the resource and tactics changes to create field demand
· Identify growth opportunities to develop market
· Actively network with sales team to understand customer needs, competitor activities and relevant market changes, to gain market intelligence and insights
· Lead to organize big customer event nationwide to build brand awareness and accelerate market penetration
· Lead Marketing Research project and develop Demo Plan for responsible portfolio, and well manage market research and demo expense within budget allocation
· Lead and accomplish marketing research projects, and share key findings with commercial team
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
· English capability in read, write and speak
· Agrichemical field with marketing experience at least 3 years
· Excellent knowledge of agribusiness markets, crop protection industry, understands customer needs, understands market dynamics and competitive environment
· Build up/implements sound value and transactional pricing based on customer perceived value
· Creates strong, distinctive brand & crop plans
· Develops/executes campaign plans
· Able to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets, channels
· Has deep and broad crop and product knowledge
· Anticipates changes in the market and adjusts strategies accordingly
· Strategic thinking, Analytical thinking, Communication and presentation skills
Job Requirements:
· MBA degree
· 6 + years of relevant experience in Multi-national companies
· Think strategically and drive for results;
· Strong analytical skills and negotiation skills
· Strong communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
· Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills
· Team Player
