Job Summary – A skilled machinist with hands-on experience in operating all conventional machines such as Milling, Lathe, Drilling, Grinding, Cutting machines in a Tool Room. Able to interpret mold drawings and perform machining operations as per standards. Conversant with mold elements and functionality. Maintain all machines and equipment in good condition by preventive maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

        

• Responsible for performing machining operations in pre-tooling section comprising machines such as Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Grinding, Slitting, Super Drill, Boring etc.
• Adherence to production schedule
• Machine loading
• Reduce down-time by preparedness for next 3 jobs
• Running the machines at optimum parameters and enhance utilization
• Eliminate / Reduce rework/rejection
• Responsible for driving “Safety First” culture in shop
• Pre-study of drawing to perform the machining operation
• Preparation of cutters, holders, clamping sets etc. for efficient running of the shop
• Maintain all machines, equipment, cutters etc. in good condition
• Undertake training programs for new recruits
• Implement continuous improvement culture in the shop
• Review daily production with team and take corrective measures
• Handling and maintaining all measuring instruments

    

Position Requirements:

• A Diploma / I.T.I. with more than 10 years of experience handling conventional machines in a Tool Room
• Able to interpret Mold drawings and decide best process
• Knowledgeable in various machining and Heat-Treatment processes
• Ability to work on 3D CAD software will be an added advantage
• Conversant with MS-Office tools
• Able to travel overseas
