Position Overview-

This person will be assisting the Wealth Leader to develop Mercer Wealth business in China, covering all investments and pensions clients including QDLP products. He/she should also collaborate with other lines of business of Mercer China, including Health (employee benefits and broking, etc) and Career (talents and rewards strategies), to promote well rounded solutions across Health, Wealth and Career.

Main Job Duties-

• Utilize Mercer's client and prospect database to identify and research target organizations
• Build effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the target organizations
• Work in collaboration with Marketing teams on organizing and executing marketing events (seminars, roundtables, etc.) to raise and establish Mercer as a recognized brand in the market
• Participate in professional organizations, industry events and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a network to obtain prospects
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline to ensure revenue targets are met.
• Maintaining clients and prospects database in MercerForce (a CRM tool).
• Work with a team of Mercer colleagues to collaboratively develop solutions that will help our clients.
• Assist consultants with team initiatives

Requirements-

• Bachelor Degree and above
• At least 8 years of relevant sales experience in financial industry
• Sound understanding of China investment markets and the management of assets
• Good working knowledge of institutional investment client schemes, including defined benefit, defined contribution, financial intermediaries, mutual funds, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships is required.
• Willingness to work within the small team in a challenging environment
• An ability to shift through complex issues to identify and convey the key drivers
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and appropriate attention to details
• Good written and oral English and Mandarin
